Facts and Figures

It costs Special Olympics Palm Beach County approximately $300,000 per year to operate the program. These funds are raised through individual donations, corporate support, civic groups and special event fundraisers. Special Olympics Palm Beach County is not part of the United Way and does not receive money from the national level. Donations are spent directly on the actual program and athlete expenses, as Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners through the Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation pays for salaries and office support.
